Who Is This For

Learners must complete the five mandatory units
- Conforming to general health, safety and welfare in the workplace
- Confirming work activities and resources for an occupational work area in the workplace
- Developing and maintaining good occupational working relationships in the workplace
- Confirming the occupational method of work in the workplace
- Insulation and building treatments, building construction, defects and interfaces

And one of the following two optional units
- Installing insulation to framed sections of buildings in the workplace
- Injecting, blowing and spraying insulation to internal walls in the workplace
Learners can choose to take additional units but they do not form part of the core qualification
- Erecting and dismantling access/working platforms in the workplace
- Develop customer relationships

All NVQs from the UK Skills Academy lead to a Blue, Gold, or Black CSCS card. Which is the certification that allows you to show your employer that you are qualified and have the knowledge and expertise to conduct yourself on-site in a safe and responsible manner. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the appropriate training and qualifications for the job they do on-site.
Eligibility
- 19+ Years Old
- Live or Work in England (Business address can be out of England as long as the work is in England – we will need evidence)
- 3 months working in the trade for Level 2 and 6 months for Level 3
- You must be working in the trade you are applying for now – you must be able to demonstrate via assessment.
Duration
Our NVQs are flexible to work around you and the trade you are currently working in. You will be registered for 8-10 weeks and your assessor will collect a range of evidence from your workplace, work with you on assessments and will require your knowledge workbook to be completed in the first 4 weeks.
