With over 20 years of experience in the skills and education sector, I am the CEO of UK Skills Academy, a driving force in delivering high-quality training and workforce development in the construction and low-carbon industries. My work focuses on enabling businesses and individuals to thrive by supporting them in becoming work-ready and advancing their personal and professional careers.
 
Specialising in Trade NVQs, CITB Levy & Grant Support, Sustainability Training, and Digital Skills Training, I have successfully managed over £4 million in provision, empowering thousands of learners through apprenticeships, adult skills programmes, and bootcamps. I am deeply committed to championing sustainable practices within the construction sector, providing the tools and knowledge needed for businesses to navigate the shift towards low-carbon solutions.
 
As a resilient and results-driven leader, I bring a proven track record in workforce development, employer engagement, and upskilling initiatives. I have led large-scale strategic programmes, serving as both an Ofsted Nominee and ESFA Lead, ensuring compliance, quality, and growth in government-funded skills provision.
 
With extensive expertise in bid writing and strategic planning, I am passionate about unlocking opportunities for individuals and organisations alike. UK Skills Academy is proud to announce that it has been awarded £1 million in government funding as part of the Warm Homes Skills Programme, a key component of the government’s Warm Homes Skills Plan launched in April 2025. CITB Skills & Training Fund Closing 30 September 2025

Employers and learners urged to act now to secure full funding before deadline

The Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) has announced significant changes to its funding structure, with the Skills & Training Fund officially closing on 30 September 2025. From October, funding will only be available through Employer Networks (ENs), which will typically cover up to 70% of training costs rather than the 100% currently available.
